Apparently, some members of the TC broke into the school and stole all the library books. When the cops started to chase them, they stashed the books in the vault of an abandoned bank building across the street (oddly in their proper dewey decimal system order). Then they took off across the baseball field where the cops had to get out of their cars and pursue on foot (because vehicular traffic is strictly prohibted on the new baseball field). When the cops got close, the members of the TC cleverly disguised themselves as a scoreboard before fleeing the scene leaving nothing behind but a lightly perused copy of "Growing Grass for Dummies" and leaving residents asking- will no one bring these Troublesome Cranburians to justice? |
LMAO!
That was good..........strange, but good! |

Wait a tick!
The police confronted the perps, but, they got away?
Were they quick-footed and spry teens who outran the police?
Maybe, a police dog would be a good thing. |

Maybe, the suspects were trying to steal the baseball field?
Being that it costs so much money they thought that they could sell it on the black market. |

I have to say that all the time I have been in Cranbury to have a State Police helicopter come in and search, flood lights and all. That was a first.
It must have looked like an airbourne version of the corn field scene in "North by Northwest" with Carey Grant. |

Cops charge 2 in break-in at Cranbury school
By JOSHUA BURD • Staff Writer • October 28, 2009
CRANBURY — Two township men have been charged with trying to steal equipment during a midnight break-in at Cranbury School earlier this month, police said Wednesday.
Lucas Brunskill, 20, and Kyle Walsh, 19, each face counts of burglary, theft and conspiracy after an investigation by township detectives into the Oct. 8 incident. Police said Wednesday that warrants have been issued for their arrest.
Police have said the men entered the North Main Street building about midnight that day. Officers responded shortly thereafter to find the burglars outside, prompting them to flee toward Plainsboro Road, Chief Edward Kahler said.
Police surrounded and checked the area with the help of the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit, then searched the school with K-9 units from the Hightstown Police and State Police, Kahler said. The search was unsuccessful.
The men tried to steal several items, including science and lab equipment, the chief said after the incident. Police believed they recovered most of the property, he said.
Kahler said Detective Sgt. Peter Ziegler and Detective Ryan Dworzanski conducted the investigation. He asked any other witnesses to call police at 609-395-0031.
