I want to thank the residents of Cranbury who came out on November 3 to support all of the candidates and vote. It was great to see a large turnout for what was a key election on both the state and local level.

Locally, we were fortunate that we had four good candidates running. The results of the vote with all four people being close to each other when the votes were tallied shows we were lucky to have a solid slate to choose from and that we made it hard on the voters in terms of choosing candidates.

I want to thank Dan Mulligan who ran with me and walked alongside me as we knocked on doors in town and shared our views with residents. Dan did a fantastic job in balancing discussions and raising ideas and solutions. While he did not win, I am confident that he will be active in our town and I hope that he and other residents will come out and offer thoughts and ideas to the Township Committee.

I want to thank the residents in town. To those who supported me in the election you have my sincere gratitude and thanks. I promised when running that I would be open and hold myself accountable and I promise that I will work hard to help our town and answer any questions and concerns in an honest and forthright manner.

To residents who did not vote for me I also want to say thank you. I am now provided with an opportunity to demonstrate that I will work hard for all residents and in time I hope I will prove to you that I am working in the best interests of our community.

Sincerely,

Jay Taylor

PS- In a hokey, but in a fun fact way it was 20 years ago exactly that my Dad was elected to his first term on the TC.
