Went out last week to take a picture of the dam. Wonder what it will look like in the summer with the much lowered water table.

No.
It's easily accessible by foot via a 10 minute walk from the soccer fields.
It's to the left of the sandy area where people like to fish. Near the preserve and the end of the Eagle Scout trail. See picture below. Dam is on the left.

It looks to be a stone throw from where (I believe) the West property ends and the farm field begins. It is accessible from the north side of the steam? I was under the impression it was not, without entering into the farmer's field.
Also, how's the fishing in this water??
And lastly, is there a map of the preserved (publically) accessible nature trails that I could locate online or in person?

| Regarding the access to the section of the Cranbury Brook where the dam is located: The township created access prior to selling off the Barcleay Farm and there is public access to that property[Via the West property]. Unfortunatly the committee uses our money to buy these properties but fails miserably at providing a data base for the public to use to identify access to our property. Have you ever heard of access to Forstega or Fischer, or Hagerty or Shadow Oaks? There needs to be a reference that is clear and concise and readily available to the taxpayers including those who are not computer literate. |
