Cranbury Township Administrator/Finance Officer making $122,000? Sounds crazy to me! If you look at the APP website under Data Universe, you can see all State employees and how much money they make. Looks like most people who make that much money are judges, research scientists, etc. I think you will be hard pressed to find another Township Administrator in a small town like Cranbury making that much money.

Again..people just assume things. The CFO and Administrator are 2 f/t positons that are being combine in 1 f/t position yet saving you tax dollars. Wake up people..

How many research scientists are we employing in towns?

Did you go to the meeting to ask why this was the case? Did you get an explanation or are you just posting? Perhaps there is a cause? I understand that they actually eliminated a position and saved money on this move by having one Administrator/CFO as opposed to today where the positions are filled by two individuals.

Even if that was the going rate pre-great recession, salaries have deflated since. Unless there is a good reason not to, they should start at least 15% lower.

The position was discussed tonight. They are eliminating the role of the administrator when Ms. Smeltzer retires and promoting Ms. Marabello to be both the CFO and Administrator. So one person will be doing two jobs saving us salary and benefits.

I was at the meeting last night and without having the official bottom line numbers this definitely appears to be a job well done by the committee by consolidating two jobs into one which saves all of us on salary, benefits and pension obligations.

Under her watch as the CFO the bond rating and debt has all improved. I think Ms. Marabello will do a fine job and I congratulate her. It's nice that our Town Administrator and Police Chief are all town residents as well.

The reason that they can afford to live in town is because they have the top 2 highest salaries

How is one person going to be able to do the work of 2 full time employees? I understand that it will save money but I don't understand why we had 2 seperate positions before this if one person can do the job now. That must mean that before these 2 positions should have been part-time. There must have been alot of down time for the 2 positions before this.nobody thought to look at this before? I must be using different math to figure this out.

Let's see if I can figure this out: 1person 7hrs a day + 1 peron 7hrs per day = 2 people 14 hrs per day. Now 1 person 7 hrs per day. I guess I must be using the same bad math as guest 666 is using. Unless the new person is working14 hr day's this doesn't seem possible.

I believe that the CFO position is part time and has been.

The outgoing administrator was a waste of money for the town. She should have gone years ago.
