More food for the troll tossed into its cave... The only want to move forward is to ignore all the nonsense. Let it have the last word. let it argue with itself for a few posts and declare that it is victorious because no one is arguing back. Then it will get bored and go away. If there's a real issue a real human will show up at a meeting to ask real questions and make real arguments. |

The Township also pays 150K+ to Plainsboro for handling the court, so not being effective just does not sound right. The Cranbury Court sees tickets and arrests from Cranbury Police and the State Police. To say that two agencies would not generate positive revenue is very hard to believe when towns with no traffic lights and 6 Officers have a court and make money. |
The town does not pay a fee. The court only collects the ticket revenue from Cranbury. |
Read the Budget. The town pays Plainsboro Twp a fee of well over 100K to handle the court. Plus Plainsboro gets to keep all the revenue and fees from Cranbury and State Police. |

It was explained last year that this is a place holder as the budget has to have an outgoing for the court.
The court is revenue neutral. If you don't believe me call town hall or ask Jay Taylor. If I am wrong then they will tell you such and you can post how wrong I am then with what the told you.
I was at the meeting last year when the analysis was presented. That a few years ago Plainsboro made money the since then they lost money or broke even. |

My quick calculations shows this to be 1.3 million dollars before OT, pension, health and any other perks. Exactly how much exactly are the police costing us? I would guess its well over 2.0 million a year. |
Is nobody shocked that we pay our police officers salaries like these? Plus benefits, plus tremendous pensions. |

How much would your salary need to be if there was a chance you would not come home from work? |

Tell me how you make your cuts work. If you can make an argument then maybe you can change my mind. As I said I have no idea what I'd right staffing wise. However, you haven't shown me that we can cut police. I just don't understand how your math works when all the evidence people have shown you contradict your general statements. If you can provide some evidence or data that we won't pay more due to OT or can actually lower costs and have less police I am all for it. All you are saying is police are over paid and we need to cut them.
I don't want to pay more in taxes show show me your math. Show me how the sources provided are wrong. |

Ok, ok, we get it. Stop posting over and over again the same things. You hate the police and want to get rid of them.
Go to meeting and tell them instead of trolling here.
Or keep posting here and try to keep flaming the subject. Either way I am done feeding this troll who keeps posting over and over again. |

A question (with no snide intentions). How many folks on this board provide input to the TC at the budget meetings they hold? I am not being inflammatory in any way. But if there are concerns about the budget, I can guarantee they will not be addressed as a result of postings on this forum. But they would be taken under consideration if presented at a committee meeting. |

I attended one years ago. There were 2 older gentlemen in the audience. My guess is it is still at most 1-2 people.
However, I will guarantee there will be 2-5 people creating a ten page thread here on waste if taxes are raised and maybe 10 people will attend a TC meeting to complain after the fact and still not offer any view other than the obligatory cut expenses. I attended a meeting last year where the TC sat wide eyed as residents ranted and told them not to raise taxes and yet not one idea was raised by audience members for where to cut. I imagine if I were sitting up there I would not have been as patient. I walked out when I realized it was nothing but a venting session. |

We should consider merging with another town. Not just police but the entire township. There is no reason for redundancy or home rule in any form of government. We should look into merging with South Brunswick, Monroe, East Windsor,or Plainsboro. We can be the Cranbury section of one of those towns. |
