Cranbury Arts Council's summer programs a hit with arts and technology students
The Cranbury School auditorium was filled Monday with the sounds of stomping and the whirring and beating of kitchen equipment as students filled the stage for the percussion workshop, one of a host of art and technology camps sponsored by the Cranbury Arts Council.
The two-week workshop, taught by Cranbury School teacher Tom Nichols, made its debut this summer. The Cranbury Arts Council summer programs include workshops from Indian hip-hop to intro to aeronautics.
"The technology camps, intro to robotics and intro to aeronautics, are very popular with boys," said Arts Council member Ann Gordon.
The music programs appear to be just as popular. On Monday, the stage in the Cranbury School gymnasium was filled with students ready to bang away.
