Can anyone recommend someone who really knows their stuff about pool maintenance, etc?
We're not looking for a general pool care service (we do chemicals, testing, etc ourselves) nor a generic pool company with people who don't know very much (been there, done that).
We have problems pop up from time to time (currently the pool sweep is acting wonky) and we'd like to have someone who can come to troubleshoot and make a knowledgeable recommendation (when we've tried generic pool companies they never seem to really know what's wrong and just want us to throw money at the problem to "see" if something will work). A few times we have managed to find answers on the Internet and solve issues ourselves but sometimes like with this sweep we just aren't finding any solutions.
Any and all recommendations welcome. Thanks! |

Maybe call the maker of the pool sweep? If you can replace it with another robotic pool cleaner, it's not really a pool issue, right?
I have a Smartpool Kleen Machine robotic pool cleaner vacuum. It's cheap (bought it for less than $300) and works great. |

BTW, I used to use my pool pump (via the skimmer hole) and a pool vacuum head attached to a long vacuum hose to manually clean my in-ground pool.
The suction dropped one season and I could not figure out why. The pump was working fine, and the water still flowed from the skimmer hole. Instead of getting some one to fix it (probably going to be expensive), I just bought a Smartpool robotic cleaner. Looking back, this is the best purchase ever for my pool maintenance. |

A friend converted their pool to a salt water system and said it dramatically reduced the cleaning needed. |
