Diappointed to see Molte Bene closed. Big loss for Main Street Cranbury. Does anyone know where they are relocating to?

The rumor mill suggests that they may be relocating to the Blue Rooster site.

They should stay here. Princeton has plenty of restaurants already.

I think they would do very well in Princeton. Much more foot traffic and probably more opportunities for off-site catering.

Is it true that MB have committed to the old Blue Rooster building?

If so, when are they planning to open? If not, where are they going?

I've heard that rumor too but if so why is there still a for sale sign outside the BD house and in fact the sign went up after the MB rumor started?

Molto Bene Update
Finally we have a closing date which is set for next week! We are coming back to Cranbury, NJ!!! We still have some renovations to tackle once we are in the new location, but we will be open soon enough. Thank you for all your comments and for being patient with us during this whole process. We look forward to serving everyone once again.

The place looked very charming, and really regretted not frequenting them as often as we'd like.
Really look forward to having them back in Cranbury, will definitely be dining there a bit more.

Should be soon. I heard they will be able to seat over 100 people in the new location.

Seems ambitious. I hope they can increase their business enough to justify the move. Princeton might have been a better place for a bigger location.

What about those of us that live near the new location. When we accepted the blue rooster it was with an agreement to have less then 50 seats on the restaurant.. To now double this with no added parking will negatively impact my family's quality of life. I hope someone stops the new 100 seat restaurant on main street Cranbury and keeps the number lower

Molto Bene will need to come before the planning or zoning board to get an exception on the seats. Keep an eye out for the agenda as that will be the time to discuss.

100 seats if they are inclined to ask for that number could add an additional 50 plus cars to parking in the area so I am not sure where the parking would be.
