Little red car

Ok, so is it just me, or does the little red car parked across from the Cranbury Inn catch your eye? Looks like it was hit from behind with the rear lights broken.
I'm not complaining or anything just doesn't seem like its moved, and its kind of strange to see it there like that.. Is someone in need of help?
I'm not the kind of person to just ignore something that looks out of the norm, especially if someone needs a hand with something.

I wouldn't call it eye-catching but none-the-less I have seen it. You are correct - it was hit from behind by a Comcast service truck. More than likely it won't be moved until it's repaired contingent on insurance, fault finding, estimate development, shop availability etc. etc. The owner is merely waiting to move forward. Thanks for the concern.

That's all well and good. However, it should be moved onto private property. If it's not running, put it into neutral and push or pull it. Main St. and other pieces of public property are not storage spots for damaged personal property.

I would call it eye catching, in a negative way.

This post is another example of the ridiculous standards that a few super critical Historical Types want to impose on the general public. The car belongs to a taxpayer.Unfortunatly it was hit by someone and damaged. Can't we have a less than pristine car in town? It is parked on a public street and properly registered. Just because it is not up to the "Cranbury Perfection Standard" doesn't mean it must be moved to satisfy some nitpicker. There are many things in this town that need attention but this is far from the top of the list. LET IT GO!

It doesnt matter who owns the car or what kind of car it is. Nor does it have anything to do with historical fanatics. It is a matter of aesthetics though. Is it soooo bad that us "Historical Types" like to protect the aesthetic beauty of our town? We all benefit from the increased property values that comes along with that aesthetic beauty. I assume the taxpayer who owns it has a driveway or backyard. Is it asking to much that they store their stuff on their property and not on shared public space? I have a broken lawnmower that I am waiting on the manufacturer to replace via warranty. Should I roll it up to Main Street until it's fixed? Or should I store my broken lawnmower on my property?

Every town and city (not just cranbury) has a maximum length of parking in public spots, not just Cranbury. It's a matter of being fair to everyone and not storing private property on public space.

Get over it - the car was hit , they are waiting to get it repaired. How does this hurt any one of us? I see the car several times a day while walking or driving by. WHO CARES? Why let these small things in life bother you??

Yes. I can agree with that. This certainly is a little thing in the perspective of life. I did take notice of it. I don't think it would've bothered me enough to start this thread. But I took notice of it and I happened to see this thread so I figured why not give my opinion. My personal opinion would be that it would be better if we didn't leave damaged cars on main street. The car seems drivable I'm sure it's possible for that person to move it into their driveway, they would just rather not use their space to store their things. Slightly annoying at most, but annoying nonetheless.
