The instant one turns down station rd from south main st a monstrous warehouse can be seen. This does not reflect well on the historic aspect of the town. Why wasn't this considered when the developers submitted plans? [/code] |

It is zoned for warehouse and is a permitted use. The PB cannot negotiate away from something permitted.
Plus given the size this will bring in tremendous taxes to the town. It's screened and that side of 130 is warehouse already. It's not on Main St. |

Everything on that side of Route 130 was zoned for commercial development long ago. The Township has legal zoning and ordinances about what can be developed there. Neither the Zoning or Planning boards or Township Committee can deny a developer the right to develop there in accordance with those. Even when they come in to seek variances, the Planning and Zoning boards can be sued if they deny them for anything other than a narrow legal basis.
Why are you calling this one monstrous and not the one right across the street from it? When this one is done it will look similar and have comparable landscaping and berming to its neighbor. They will be equivalent. |

The other one in not visible from main st. I know what was zoned east of 130. The problem is that it's absolutely hideous and will bring in more traffic, noise, and crime. |

Don't forget the fact that these ugly buildings keep your property taxes manageable. |

The fact that the grungiest part of Route 130 from start to finish (No. Brunswick to Burlington, etc.) happens to be (at least 85%) the length of Cranbury Twp. is a bigger drawback. I know we can't compete with areas in "Mediterranean" climates when it comes to highway landscaping, but... |

Unless you a riding in helicopter, that is a lie. It can't been until you are nearly at route 130. For the sake of quality, discussion can we please abandon the shameless exaggerating.
Also, that is what it is zoned. You should brought this up regarding it zoning designation years ago. It way too late now.
Also, please keep in mind that one of the biggest reasons why our taxes are so affordable is that we have those industrial warehouse paying property taxes without then utilizing many public services (schools, etc).
There has been warehouses on that side of route 130 since before most of us lived here. Get used to it. |

You can't seriously be judging it's visibility during construction? Be serious. When this one is done it will be no more or less visible than its next door neighbor. It will have similar landscaping and will barely be visible from Route 130, let alone Main Street. If you're going to look for a reason to complain at least say something credible. |

They'll just put in a berm. That always solves everything! |

Furthermore if you can't see that ugly building as soon as you turn on Station rd you should not be driving, as you are a danger to everyone. |

Warehouses and commercial are a part of our planning and have been. We helped Carter Wallace come in and we had the Jamesway warehouse.
It would be great to still have farmland, but better warehouse than residential. |

It has to do because warehouse and commercial has always been part of our planning.
We do need warehouses because they reduce our taxes. With the cost of affordable housing and all the other expenses you need commerical taxes. |
