TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

A meeting of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board was held in Town Hall on August 30, 2007, at 1:30 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER

With a quorum present, Rosemary Seghatoleslami, Chairwoman of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairwoman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

Phyllis Bialor, Marie Dey, Warren Perrine, Jay Hansen, Howard Zogott and Rosemary Seghatoleslami.

NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

Betty Conover and Christine Smeltzer, Township Administrator.

MINUTES

The minutes of the August 14, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved.

WORK SESSION:

Cranbury Senior Community Center

Room Improvements/Furnishings:

A motion was made by Phyllis; seconded by Marie; all in favor; for Rosemary to purchase the stand that matches the record player.

Kristen will prepare a “Welcome” banner and a “Please Use Rear Entrance” sign.

Kristen will contact Jim Gerberich to see if he has any photos for the bulletin board. Rosemary will contact Betty Wagner for photos.

Opening Program:

The Board feels that a portable microphone should be available for the opening. Kristen will see if one can be borrowed from Cranbury School.

Rosemary has received RSVPs from Bill Baroni, David Crabiel and Margaret Chester. Declines have been received from Peter Inverso, Freeholder Christopher and Reverend Karin Mitchell.

Marie spoke to Jan Bayern, who will be coming to the opening.

Marie will contact Dunkin Donuts to see if they will donate coffee. Kristen will prepare the solicitation letter and give to Marie.

Rosemary will purchase plates, napkins and forks.

On-Going Programming:

Howard will prepare a programming schedule through the end of the year and make copies for distribution on Cranbury Day.

Phyllis will contact the Senior Living Institute about possible programs.

A piano player is needed for the December 15th Sing-A-Long.

Phyllis will ask Howard about the use of the movie screen.

Cranbury Day

Rosemary and Phyllis will set-up the table. Warren is available to help at 1:00pm. Marie should be available for clean-up.

Kristen will send an email advising of the table location.

Meeting

The next meeting of the Human Services Board will be held on September 18, 2007, at 1:00pm.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:50pm.
