I think the township should put up deer crossing signs to alert drivers of the presence of deer. Old Cranbury Road definitely needs signs, along with a line down the middle of the road and more reflector. That road is way too dark. Other roads - Old Trenton, Cranbury Neck Road, to name just two - Have no warning or deer alert signs. I think it would be a responsible thing for the township to do this to prevent injury to people and animals. |

The Twp is look at those signs. The problem is our deer can’t read to know where to cross. |

Also, the amount of extra police work that would go into policing the deer crossing locations would be expensive. Issuing citations to deer who cross the road outside of the designated locations with signs would take the officers away from other, more important things. |

If you don’t like driving on dark roads you shouldn’t of moved here. |

Signs are cheap. How much is it to put up a few? It's not like the township has no money. |

Signs are also tacky. If you live in this area and are traveling on a dark road you should know that deer might cross your path. |

I don't mind a dark road and because I live here, I know about the deer. Strangers to the area may not. Signs are helpful and are a part of comprehensive deer management. |

Well then these “strangers” should slow down if they are not familiar with area. |

Deer are not just on dark roads anymore. A couple of "sign" reminders in high accident areas can't hurt. Cheap price to pay even if they prevent just one accident.
For people saying signs don't work. How do you know? |

Signs don’t work because if they did then why are people pulled over for speeding? Why do people drive they stop signs? Can you tell me how many speed limit signs are on your street or how many no parking signs etc are on your street without going out to check? People just don’t pay attention to signs anymore or they just don’t care. |

What about deer bridges across all the roads? |

Would the bridges be built for Pedestrians to use also? |

Do you mean like a deer overpass? Cranbury Neck Rd could use one of those when you get up to the 35 mph sign. High deer traffic area. |

An overpass would be a little bulky and obstructive visually. Maybe a cable quoted gondola would be better. Like a ski lift
Type of thing |
