I seriously doubt this board makes any money. And if it has resisted calls to make it less anonymous and libelous in the past, there's no chance that's going to change now. I also doubt there's a plural of "admins." I suspect is one person's little side hobby. The site hasn't been updated in at least a dozen years and doesn't get any traffic, so it's pretty much running on auto-pilot at no cost. There have been a few short spurts of time when the admin has selectively deleted a few posts, not following any consistent standard of moderation, but it's been a while.
Years ago there was at least the pretense of this site being a place where locals could post questions or promote local events, etc., but no one ever bothered answering the "boring" posts that required being helpful, so all that is left is this pathetic back-and-forth bashing by small minded, petty people on every side. This site feeds on the worst parts of human nature, the same way social media does, and for the same reason that QAnon exists. |

Here or somewhere else, it would be helpful if the library people were more transparent about their plans. One of the reasons they get so much guff is because they have not been forthcoming with the community. |
