I see a lot of posts in Facebook about the warehouses in Cranbury. There is a whole new TC who ran on change regarding warehouses over the last 5 years, but nothing seems to be happening. Does anyone know what is actually being done?

Perhaps they are learning, as many new politicians do, that governing is substantially harder than complaining.

Arguably the best post in recent years.

What kind of changes? There's not much you can legally do, either with the existing ones or the land zoned for future warehouses. Townships who try and deny legal development waste millions on lawsuits and always always loose in NJ.

What I find interesting about the posts.

- Many are not Cranbury residents.
- All moved here after the warehouse district was created. There is a reason why the homes in this area are lower cost by a few hundred thousand dollars than the other areas of town.
- A twelve lane highway (NJ Turnpike) is 500’ from this area along with several hundred cars from homes. This is not a pristine air condition area even with no warehouses.

However:

The current TC told all of them that if they were elected they would solve the issue.

The TC hasn’t bought any land. They haven’t changed the zoning. In fact two of the current TC members approved the zoning in the master plan that warehouses will continue. This TC is just ignoring the noise. So I do think the residents here have a right to accountability for the promises made because promises were made that changes would happen.

What details do you want?

On All About Cranbury you can see the impact on residents from warehouses.

Anyone who lived here when Matt, Mike and Barbara ran heard how we have to find a solution for the warehouses and help the residents. That the warehouses had to stop. That truck traffic they said was hurting the town. They are focused on bike paths for the one side of 130. But what about the Hamlet and residents who deal with trucks every day.

Matt and Mike voted to adopt the Masterplan that held up the warehouse district with no changes. Just look at the minutes.

Other than designating the Hamlet a historic district which won’t stop a warehouse or distribution center and a few signs there has been no action. So what details do you want?

Maybe when the property taxes sky rocket because none of you believe how much the warehouses contribute to your sweet life style, then you’ll be happy. Then you’ll complain the towns not doing enough to curb property taxes. Meanwhile we still can’t get an ambulance when needed.

I don't understand your statement about Cranbury's ambulance system.

Could you be more specific about not being able to get ambulance service when needed. I give pretty large donation every year to them

I have used the first aid squad a number of times and never had any issue. They came within minutes and really helped my family. There was a post recently in All About Cranbury from someone who used their services recently and had a great experience.

I'm sorry that you had to use their services several times. You or someone in your household must be very ill.

Thank you. I have lived here many years. My father had a few calls, I had a call, my grandparents when living here had calls more than once at the end. My son had a bad fall and we had to call them. At least seven calls I can count in the last 15-20 years and never had one issue. They and our police have been fantastic.

There is another post today on the Hamlet. Granted the person moved there well after all the building started. But the point remains it is a wonderful remaining open space and the TC seems to be just ignoring their pledge to stop the warehouse sprawl. Only one TC member has responded to these posts with we need more signs. So the solution to the ugliness of the warehouses is to litter the area with signage?
