Why is the TC against the Fire Co

The meeting last night of the TC seemed was a clear S*** show. I never saw Committee members let alone Mayor attack volunteer firefighters like they did last night. It was embarrassing and showed the committee and administrator don’t do any prep work.

I think this is an important discussion. I have it on good authority that we have very few volunteer firefighters. I was gobsmacked.

Assuming that's true, why is that? And why would the Town Committee be "against" firefighters? I don't think this thread should die on the vine.

If anyone on the Township Committee reads this, please respond.

Why would anyone vote for Barbara Rodgers in November ???? She is just plain awful. She (and most of the township committee) spend most of their meetings providing useless community service announcements. Most of this info can be found in many other places. So little time is spent actually performing "government" duties.

Is the TC plan to distract the public from what really needs to be done by elected officials ???? Several members of the committee really just dimmish any questions and comments that genuinely affect residents and shut them down.

Wow. This is ridiculous. People demand proof, themselves and friends blamed others saying they were posting here with lies, and now it is on tape for all to see.

The video clearly shows the TC has no clue and is power hungry. They are willing to put resident safety at risk because the Chief did not attend their budget meeting. They don’t want to hear the issue or be informed now which is what good leaders want, instead they want to make a point that you do what we say or you don’t get what you need. Who cares if residents are harmed because the Fire Dept has to cut something. They don’t even want to let the Chief speak.

No way will I vote for Spann or Rogers. This isn’t D or R issue, it is one of negligence. Knirem a D and Wright an R have my vote. We have too many homes and lives at risk to have a TC that doesn’t prioritize resident safety.

Not sure books has the TC banned, but I do know they are putting resident safety at risk by costing the Fire company 100k for a car and 5k for legal fees. That 100k has to come from somewhere.
