Local family in need
Jean and Rowland Kieny who live at 13 Hightstown Cranbury Station Road lost their house to fire yesterday, January 3. Five community fire departments battled the blaze, however all was lost, including sadly, their dog who was trapped inside.
Despite their loss, they are grateful to be safe and to have a temporary home on Station Road to live in for the time being. However, they have only the clothes that they were wearing at the time of the fire. If anyone has any clothing, shoes, or bedding, towels, etc… to offer, it would be most helpful. What is needed is a women's size 14, or large, with size 8-8 1/2 shoe; and a man's 40 pants, or extra large, with size 9-9 ½ shoe. At some point, they will be putting a home back together, and may need other items, but for now clothing and perhaps frozen meals would be helpful. You may drop off any items you want to offer at the house on 72 Station Road.

Can you tell me if they need children's things - clothes, toys, books? Also, what about blankets, towels, etc. I will drop off a basket of women's clothes today.
My heart goes out to this family and it is important that as a community we support them. |

No kids items. They are older and do not have small children. I think clothes and towels would be great.
Thank you for helping out.. |

There is another family in need of children's items in Hightstown. They also lost everything in a fire over the weekend. I can post the info if anyone has things to donate.
Thank you. |

Mercer Count Freecycle Wanted : anything for family in need .. east windsor
I thought i can pass this along for a family in need ..
This past weekend, a devastating fire completely ruined the home of
an Ethel Mc Knight kindergarten student and her younger brother.
Every item that the family owned has perished. At this time, our PTA
is collecting items that the family needs and can use. Clothing for
the children is what they need most right now.
The girl wears a size 5 and the boy wears a size 4. The girl's shoe
size is 12 and the boy's shoe size is 11. In addition to this, any
child related item (in very good condition of course) would be
greatly appreciated by the family (ie: books, toys, etc.). Even a
gift card to a local store would be appreciated.
If you have items you no longer need, please bring the item(s) to
school with an attached note that reads, "Attention: Mrs. Rogers or
Mrs. Miller". Mrs. Rogers, our school guidance counselor, along with
Mrs. Miller, our school nurse, will be overseeing the collection of
donations. The donation collection will begin tomorrow, Tuesday,
January 6, since the family's needs are immediate.
A local family is need. Let's all show them how much we care. |
