Cranbury Library wants to purchase PNC BANK or build new Library now!

If they are planning to spend money based on the fear of the school needing to expand because of COAH then their priorities are wrong. We'll need every last cent to pay for COAH homes and that comes before spending money on a library.

COAH could possibly go away if the voters do not re-elect Corzine.
School enrollment is going down, not up, so if COAH does not factor in, we should not need additional space.

As for the shared space, I thought both the library and school were happy with the new arrangement made earlier in the year when the library spaces were rearranged.

I agree with an earlier poster that the feasibility study will show that it is feasible to purchase PNC, since the board is the one paying for the study, but like any government project, I'm sure the costs will not be controlled and the project would overrun.

Do not mistake non-support of a new library building as non-support for the library. They do a terrific job.

Unfortunately, I think it is those who are pro-stand alone library that are making this distinction. It's a for us or against us mentality. That is why they jump to the value a library brings and how can anyone be against a library. For the most part those like myself who oppose a stand alone library are very pro-library in terms of services and value. In fact I donate when the Friends of the Library have their drives.
